Owlchemy Play Lab is a STEAM-inspired indoor play space for kids located in Redondo Beach in the South Bay of Los Angeles.

Our Mission: Think. Create. Play. Repeat.

Where Curiosity Comes to Play

Owlchemy Play Lab is a hands-on STEAM play space designed for curious kids ages 3 and up.

Here, kids don’t just play — they imagine, experiment, build, and create.

Every part of the lab encourages active, meaningful play that builds confidence, creativity, and independence.

Why We Created Owlchemy

We wanted a place families could go that was different from a traditional play space and more exciting than screen time.

Owlchemy exists for kids who love to tinker, stack, test, design, and ask “what happens if…?” and for parents who want enriching play in a safe, welcoming environment.

What Makes Us Different

Instead of structured lessons, we focus on guided exploration. Kids can choose between different types of activities all in one place.

You might find them:

  • building towering structures
  • experimenting with simple machines
  • creating art projects
  • designing with construction toys
  • exploring sensory activities
  • playing imaginative games

There’s no single path. Each child creates their own experience. It’s learning without it feeling like learning.

Our Promise

The lab will be:

  • Safe, clean, thoughtfully designed play spaces
  • Encourage creativity and confidence
  • Screen-free exploration
  • Welcoming families of all kinds
  • Making learning joyful

Meet the Founder

Owlchemy Play Lab was created by a high-school math teacher who is also a mom of two curious girls. After years in the classroom and watching her own children build, tinker, and imagine, she dreamed up a place where learning and play could live side by side in a joyful, low-pressure way.

That teacher-and-mom perspective shapes everything at Owlchemy — from the activities we offer to how our space is designed for families.
